Default TRIGGER TREAT IV: A Wastelands Halloween Blast

TRIGGER TREAT IV - A Wastelands Halloween Blast
    Saturday, October 29, 2016
    http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlif...ard/122/162/72

The Season of Hoarding nears its end, Withering draws near, and - somehow - The Wastelands gets weirder and spookier than it was already.

Once again, it's time for a day of costumes, chaos, cacophony, and CANDY!

Here's who we've got so far:

    10:00am SLT - Wiseblood Wisent
    Noon SLT - Sandling Honey
    1:00pm SLT - Echo Starship
    2:00pm SLT - Community Meeting
3:00pm SLT - War Zone (most likely with awesome prize packages for ALL participants!)
    4:00pm SLT - MC
    6:00pm SLT - Rapa Tone
7:00pm SLT - LIVE VOCALS by Lillie Zeplin
8:00pm SLT - Scary Story Contest with Akiko Thursday
    9:00pm SLT - Aposiopesis Fullstop

Earlier and later slots are still available for whatever eerie event anyone wants to throw. More music? Ghost stories? Costume contests? Something else weird and brilliant? Lemme know what you want to do and when, and we'll try to make it happen! Think we've crammed as much as can be crammed!

Hope to see you all there!

Whatever shit Wastelanders do, however dirty or bloody or batshit random it is, it comes right from our gritty, fucked up little hearts, and that's beautiful.

8pm oughta work! How long a slot do you think it'll need?

Hour or two? That can just be left dependent on other scheduling needs.

Hmm, that image is a broken link for me. But sure! I think an hour oughta be long enough?

I'll grab the 9pm slot to close things out. Sandling's claimed noon SLT, and I still haven't gotten confirmation from Wiseblood, but he'll probably take either 11 or 10 am.

I'll update the initial thread - and try to finalize the poster to get it up today!

All right, the prizes for the story (and song) contest have been decided.

2nd Prize: My parcel in The Wastelands where the haunted house is currently located.

    1st Prize: . . . The Trade Post.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in this year's Trigger Treat! Whether you performed, just came to rock out, or were only there for the madness of War Zone, I really appreciate it everything everyone did. It was... not exactly the smoothest of parties, all things considered, but I hope everyone still had a good time. We definitely got to hear some excellent music!

As for the costume contest... Once again, there were a lot of fantastic avs, making it super hard to pick winners. As for female avatars, Tra's Taxidermia-inspired pig mask was a hoot, Pussywillow's cyberpunk regalia looked snazzy, and EventHorizon looked scarily playful or playfully scary!

But Lunesta's common crate avatar made me laugh a lot. Even moreso when an actual common crate dropped right in front of her. Yeah, it's the little things for me, sometimes. But it was clever and fun and endearing, and I gotta pick it.

As for male avatars... lots of great things there, as well! MC's dragonish av was a nice combination of charming and bitey-lookin'. VladimirVincci also made me laugh with his thoroughly-skewered Vlad The Impaled outfit! But I've gotta give the award to Nick for his found-item Scythejaw outfit. Coffeemug snout with bottlecap nostrils! Scrit ears and Manimal eyeballs! A wheat sheaf tail! Fatback pudge! Seriously, so dang great.

I'll dispense the L$500 prizes when I log in next, which should be later today. (I am kinda massively fried.)

Thanks again, everyone, and hopefully we'll get to do it again next year! With fewer people getting sick and things breaking and stuff not happening quite right!

We can reschedule scary stories for next Saturday, if that works for people. I'm back at home with reliable internets and have the desktop in case my laptop craps out again.
